Interview Series with Prof. Jose Maria Sison on "Terrorist" Tag
by Sonny Mallari, Philippine Daily Inquirer
August 18, 2004
Ka Joma,
Unlike the GRP, which is in fact a puppet and beggar to the US and other imperialist governments, the NDFP is an alliance of revolutionary forces that is determined to undertake anything (especially armed revolution) in order to achieve the people's demand for national liberation and democracy.  What the imperialists and their puppets  wish is to blackmail and pressure the revolutionary forces with the "terrorist" listing  and to cause their capitulation and destruction. more...

By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chief Political Consultant
National Democratic Front of the Philippines|
15 August 2004
Contrary to what officials of the Macapagal-Arroyo regime say, the US has no sovereign right to intervene in Philippine affairs and put the negotiating panel and consultants of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) under duress in peace negotiations. more...

Why the US and Some European Governments Want to Destroy The Filipino People's Movement for National Liberation?
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chief Political Consultant
National Democratic Front of the Philippines
14 August 2004
The US, British and Dutch governments represent and protect the biggest Western monopoly interests in the Philippines. These are the Chevron Texaco Malampaya LLC, and Royal Dutch Shell. Each of them owns 45 percent of the total investments of at least 4.5 billion US dollars in the Malampaya deepwater gas-to-power project. more...

He has dignified them by mixing them up with national liberation movements, anti-imperialist leaders, religious institutions and charitable foundations in lists designating all as "terrorists." more...

Bush Regime is Sabotaging the GRP-NDFP Peace Negotiations and Escalating US Military Intervention in Philippines
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chief Political Consultant
National Democratic Front of the Philippines
11 August 2004
The Bush regime is sabotaging the peace negotiations between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) by having the US State Department and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department renew the listing of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), the New People’s Army (NPA) and the NDFP chief political consultant as "terrorists".  more...

On the Withdrawal of Filipino Mercenary Troops from IRAQ and Shameless Blabbering of US Government Officials
By Jose Maria Sison
Chief Political Consultant
National Democratic Front of the Philippines
22 July 2004
I share the joy of the Filipino nation and the family of Angelo de la Cruz over his release and homecoming. I congratulate the cause-oriented organizations headed by Bayan and Migrante International, all other patriotic forces and the broad masses of the Filipino people for successfully pressing the Macapagal-Arroyo regime to withdraw the contingent of Filipino mercenary troops from Iraq and thus pave the way for the release of Angelo de la Cruz from his Iraqi captors. more...

So-called 10-Point Agenda of GMA is an Abominable List of Lies
By Jose Maria Sison
Chief Political Consultant
National Democratic Front of the Philippines
7 July 2004
Information has reached me that propagandists of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo are spreading the ludicrous lie that I support her so-called 10-point agenda and in effect her rigged election to the presidency of the reactionary government of big compradors and landlords. more...

The US Cannot Extricate Itself from Iraqi Quagmire by Setting Up the Puppet Iraqi Interim Government
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
General Consultant
International League of Peoples' Struggle
28 June 2004
For French Translation
The US is so flagrantly hell-bent on holding on to the fruits of its criminal war of aggression against the people of Iraq. It wants to control and own the oil resources of Iraq in order to tighten its grip on the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. It wants to keep 14 US military bases and more than 135,000 US troops in Iraq in order to control the entire Middle East, allow Israel to slaughter the Palestinian people and humiliate all the Arab people. It is monopolizing all kinds of business priivileges and contracts, especially reconstruction contracts and military sales, in order to appropriate the oil resources and income of Iraq. more...

By Prof. Jose Maria Sison

Massive cheating can ignite protest movement to topple the regime
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
NDFP Chief Political Consultant
15 May 2004
As chief political consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, I am critical of the May 10, 2004 elections of the reactionary government in a fundamental way. These elections are mainly and essentially a contest for power among competing political factions and agents of the pro-imperialist exploiting classes of big compradors and landlords. These elections are not really democratic exercises. They are meant to exclude the genuine representatives of the toiling masses and other exploited people. more...

On Revolutionary Struggles in Imperialist and Oppresed Countries
Interview with Jose Maria Sison
Founding Chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines
By David Hungerford
December 25, 2003
Question: When you work in imperialist countries in support of revolutionary movements in oppressed countries, what are the specifically communist tasks?
Jose Maria Sison (JMS): Persevere in carrying out the ideological, political and organizational tasks for developing the revolutionary movement in the imperialist countries and for supporting the revolutionary movements in oppressed countries. You must have a home base for supporting the struggles of the people abroad. more...

Interview with Jose Maria Sison
By Juan Sarmiento
Editor, "Talk of the Town", Philippine Daily Inquirer
22 November 2003
Reply:  I got some amount of hearsay and reliable statements from various people.  You must take into acccount the distance between the Netherlands and Philippines, particularly the time gap between a Philippine event and any kind of report about it. By the way, you do not mention Kampanyang Ahos, which was the very worst of the bloody witchhunts. more...

Stand with the Filipino People Against the Imperialist Master and the Puppet
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Founding Chairman, Communist Party of the Philippines
Chief Political Consultant, NDFP Negotiating Panel

18 October 2003
The occasion reminds the entire nation of the malevolent relationship between the imperialist superpower and the chief representative of local reactionary classes in perpetuating the semi-colonial and semi-feudal character of Philippine society, in escalating oppression and exploitation and maintaining the current anti-national, anti-democratic corrupt and brutal regime. more...

The US-Directed GMA-Reyes Tandem Blocks Formal GRP-NDFP Talks
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chief Political Consultant
National Democratic Front of the Philippines
July 30, 2003
Their trick in preventing the peace negotiations is to insult and challenge the NDFP by repeatedly telling it to capitulate or else suffer the worst of military campaigns. The way of capitulation offered is the immediate signing of a "final peace agreement" one-sidedly made by the GRP. The worst of military campaigns are already being waged under the pretext of war against terrorism and are sustained by US military intervention and increased military supplies from the Pentagon. more...

Protest Action by Hundreds of Soldiers Exposes Rottenness of US-Arroyo Regime
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison

The grievances of the soldiers have reverberated not only throughout the Philippines but also the entire world. They are well-grounded. Channel 7 has reported in Manila that the Dutch government has ordered the freezing  of  all your bank accounts and has also deprived you of all social benefits due to you as a recognized political refugee.
Reply:  You must be referring to the July 15 ruling of the Utrecht municipal court that it does not have the power to grant to me provisional measures (i.e. the restoration of social benefits while the case about the validity of withdrawing these is being tried in court).  I have instructed my Dutch lawyers to accelerate the consolidation  of my complaints against the punitive measures taken against me and the violations of my rights. more...

Interview With Prof. Jose Maria Sison
By Freedom Siyam
AnakBayan Seattle
Seattle, Washington, USA
4 June 2003
1. Can you tell us how and why Kabataang Makabayan was established and what were its highlights?
Answer: The Kabataang Makabayan was established in response to the need for a patriotic and progressive organization of the Filipino youth. From the beginning on November 30, 1964, it was committed to arouse, organize and mobilize the youth from the toiling masses of workers and peasants and the middle social strata for the revolutionary struggle for national liberation and democracy. This struggle is directed against US imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat capitalism. more...

Concerning PRISON AND BEYOND, book of poems by JOSE MARIA SISON
1. Whom would you consider as most influential in your involvement with the concerns of the masses?
Answer: I observed closely the conditions of the peasants in my hometown and subsequently those of the workers in Manila. In the university, I studied the writings of the patriots in the old democratic revolution (Andres Bonifacio, Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini, etc.) up to the latest of the Filipino progressive anti-imperialists (Crisanto Evangelista, Claro Mayo Recto, Teodoro Agoncillo, Amado Hernandez, Renato Constantino, etc.). Then, I studied the great communists Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Mao. more..

Interview with Prof. Jose Maria Sison
By Sharon Cabusao, for Pinoy Weekly
April 20, 2003
1. How is your situation over there?
The Dutch government and the European Council are still harassing me upon orders of the US imperialists. I am still listed as a "terrorist" in documents of the imperialists who are the real terrorists. They continue to withhold the social benefits due me as a recognized political refugee. But we fight back. We defend our rights. The support of the broad masses, competent lawyers and respected personages all over the world further strengthens my position. more...

Condemnation of US War of Aggression and Call on The People to Action
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
March 19, 2003
The broad masses of the people all over the world, including those in the US and imperialist countries allied with the US, have demonstrated their opposition to the impending war through gigantic protest actions. PNP Murder Complaint Has Absolutely No Basis in Fact and in Law
By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
12 February 2003
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has absolutely no basis in fact and in law to file a murder complaint against me for the death of Col. Rodolfo Aguinaldo.
The attempt of the PNP to link me with those originally accused of being responsible for the killing of Col. Aguinaldo is manifestly contrived and malicious. I have no connection whatsoever with anyone of them. more...

by Arlene Burgos
Kyodo News-Manila Bureau
* what are the prospects of the ndf resuming peace talks with the government? will the ndf ever agree to the proposal for a single comprehensive agreement?
JMS Reply:  The Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP)  is blocking the resumption of the formal peace talks between the GRP and NDFP negotiating panels.  The obstacles put up by the GRP include the following:  the extreme puppetry of the Arroyo regime to the US, the all-out war policy against the revolutionary movement, the indecent proposal to scrap all previous joint agreements and the threats to label the NDFP as "terrorist" in a futile attempt to make it capitulate. more...
